Okay. So, this is discrete optimization Mail Bag for Week 6. a couple of updates. Nothing major this week. so, we going to look at the graphs and, and, and talk a little bit about them. this is the number of students active in assignments. Little bit of a drop there. so, you know, this is leveling off. So, this is nice. this is the total number of submission graded that's increasing obviously. a little bit less than last week. Okay. And this is the number of submission per active students. We have a drop for the first time. Okay. Probably we made a mistake. We gave you, you know, kind of an extension, and you all took off on vacation on a nice beach, right? So that's what I'm hoping here. And we're going to go up next week again. Right? So, this, this are the numbers. The numbers are looking good. So, let's say TSP is above 1000 for everyone. Warehouse location is getting very healthy numbers like 600 and above. Okay. That's good. VRP, we are already looking at at 350, 400. I think overall we have already something like 500 students who are really in, in good shape overall. So, this is kind of very nice. Okay. So these numbers are growing up, so this is good. This is the curve. Okay. not much happening at the hat, but what is happening at the tail is very nice. Okay. So, what is, what you, you know, what, what we wanted last week is happening, this tale is lifting. And when you look at this thing here right. So, this is, this is kind of thick. Okay. So, for the last assignments, we had a very substantial chunk. Okay. So, the number of assignments that have been completed compared to last week as, as kind of you know, same number last week, same number this week. So, this is moving up nicely. Okay. So, steady progress you know, very happy to see that. We need to lift it more, right. because we want to get as close as possible to this you know, black line at the top. common questions about certificate, there were a number of them in the last week. So, to get a regular certificate, you need 224 points. Okay. And anyway you like. You do whatever you want to get those points, and you get a certificate. Distinction is 300 points, and you can't get more than 30 points from the extra credit. And the reason we have that is that this guarantees that you'll devote 75% of ten. Okay? So, we don't want you to get all tense, but we'd like you know, a very large proportion. There are some of the assignments that we know are really difficult. You know, the largest TSP, or some of the really challenging warehouse location problems. so, so, essentially 75% is really, really outstanding in this class. Okay. so, there was steady progress on the assignment. Very good, very good work. I think you should also look at some of the traits that you know, we, we noticed this week on visualization. There are some beautiful visualization up there. this is something that we mentioned during the class. You know, it's also always very useful to actually visualize what is happening. When you visualize, you can identify bottle neck you know, I told you many times in this class. Sometimes, we you know, we've spent hours and hours looking at this screen trying to find patterns. What is happening. Why are the, why are the algorithm working that way? You know, when you visualize, you see these things. And you know, if you look at these thread/g, people have done a really good work in visualizing some of the results. And this is something that you can think about. You know, when you are starting doing an assignment, just try the visualization at the same time. It doesn't take very long, in general, but it, it really informs you about what the algorithm is doing. Okay. So, keep the good work. I'll see you next, next week. So, this is the final stretch. Right? You can look at the assignments again. revise all of them. I saw, I saw on the forum that some of you were actually doing that. Keep doing that you know, that can make a big difference in the end. And now, you can look at them in a more relaxed fashion as well. Okay. See you next week guys, keep the good work.
