'Untitled' by Rhonda J. Jezek

"You know what ah’ve seen?

Wit dese eyes of mine?"

"Tell me what you’ve seen."

"Ah’ve seen the River of Tears

flowing past my feet

like a long, slow song.

Dat’s what ah’ve seen.

"You know what ah’ve seen?

Wit dese eyes of mine?"

"Tell me what you’ve seen."

"Ah’ve seen the Rain of Blood

pour down from the Heavens

like a curtain of red.

Dat’s what ah’ve seen.

"You know what ah’ve seen?

Wit dese eyes of mine?"

"Tell me what you’ve seen."

"Ah’ve seen the Cry of Pain

drip from a thousand lips

like dark honey.

Dat’s what ah’ve seen.

"You know what ah’ve seen?

Wit dese eyes of mine?"

"Tell me what you’ve seen."

". . . .

Ah’ve seen a blanket of Pure Snow

fall on the earth like

a great, white Forever.

Dat’s what ah’ve seen."

"Then you’ve seen

all there is

to see."

And they Kissed.
