About this Title

Originally published in 1987, ÆGYPT is actually the first installment of a long novel in four parts. The second part, LOVE & SLEEP came out in 1994, and the third, DAEMONOMANIA, in 2000.

John Crowley began his career as a freelance writer in 1966. His highly literary fantasy novels include THE DEEP; BEASTS; ENGINE SUMMER; the World Fantasy Award-winning LITTLE, BIG; and, of course, the first three books in the Aegypt quartet. A writing instructor at Yale University, he lives in Conway, Massachusetts, with his wife and their twin daughters.
