B:  Yes.

Q:  That's been said to be so dangerous, is actually more valuable, because
it can be transmuted into other elements.

B:  It can, but not exactly by a technology that you have on your planet
yet, or I'll put it this way, not by a technology that you have on your
planet that you /allowed/ yourselves to develop.  There are technologies and
there is knowledge on your planet that can utilize that in a very
beneficial and positive and non-polluting way, but because of other choices
that your society made you did not allow yourselves to develop the
technology that would allow you to do so.
